The Last Tournament

A huge thank you to Coach Jenine Kuss for starting the Tana Jo Tournament. For nearly 25 years, Coach Heather Damron has kept it going and hosted one of the longest running memorial tournaments in WISD History.   The Thomason family is forever grateful.                     LET'S FINISH STRONG TO HONOR TANA'S MEMORY

  • Tana Jo Thomason was a remarkable athlete at Wylie ISD, excelling in multiple varsity sports while embodying the true "AHMO" spirit through her leadership and dedication. 


  • Academically gifted, she was named a Birmingham Scholar and ranked in the top 10% of her class, showcasing her competitive spirit. 


  • Despite a courageous battle with a rare form of cancer during her senior year, Tana inspired her community by continuing to participate in sports and ultimately graduating before her tragic passing in 2000. 


  • Her legacy of kindness, faith, and resilience continues to inspire all who knew her.
